Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 September 2026

This policy explains how Enzo’s Cucina (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles personal information. It covers this website, enzoscucina.com.au, and our eighteen restaurants across Sydney and the Gold Coast.

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

If you have any question about this policy, email us at info@enzoscucina.com.au.

1. What we collect

We only collect what we need. What that is depends on how you use the site.

When you book a table — your name, email address, phone number, the restaurant you have chosen, the date and time, how many adults and children are in your party, and any special requests you tell us about, which may include dietary requirements or allergies.

When you order online — ordering is handled on a separate platform operated by Abacus. You leave our website to place the order, and the information you enter there, including any delivery address and payment details, is collected by that platform rather than by us. We never see or store your card details.

When you enquire about a function or event — your name, contact details, the restaurant, the type of event, and whatever you tell us in your message.

When you apply for a job — your name, email address, phone number, the position and restaurant you are applying for, how you heard about us, your message, and your résumé. Your résumé may contain more than we ask for, such as your address, work history, education and referees.

When you subscribe to our newsletter — your email address.

When you simply browse — your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, how you arrived, and how you move around the site. If you allow it, your approximate location is used to show your nearest restaurant. This is described in section 5.

2. How we collect it

Usually directly from you, through a form on this website, by phone, by email, or in person at one of our restaurants. Some information is collected automatically by the tools described in section 5.

We may also receive information about you from third parties, for example a booking made through our reservation provider, or a review you leave on Google.

3. Why we use it

  • To take and confirm your booking, and to contact you about it
  • To answer your enquiry about a function, event or catering
  • To assess your job application
  • To send you our newsletter, if you asked for it
  • To run and improve the website, and to understand which pages are useful
  • To measure our advertising
  • To meet our legal obligations, including work health and safety and food safety

If we ever want to use your information for something else, we will ask you first, unless the law allows or requires it.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where we need to:

  • The restaurant you have chosen — so your booking or enquiry reaches the right kitchen. Some of our restaurants are independently owned and operated.
  • SevenRooms — our reservation platform, which holds your booking details.
  • Abacus — the ordering platform, if you place an order online.
  • Google — Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads and Google Maps.
  • Meta — the Meta Pixel, for measuring and targeting advertising.
  • Microsoft — Microsoft Clarity. See section 5, because this one records more than a page count.
  • Our hosting and network providers — who store and deliver this website.
  • Professional advisers, and anyone we are legally required to disclose to.

5. Cookies, analytics and session recording

This site uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are needed for the site to work; others help us understand how the site is used and measure our advertising.

Two of these are worth calling out plainly:

Session recording. We use Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors interact with the site — mouse movement, scrolling, clicks and the pages visited — and replays it back to us as an anonymised session. We use it to find what is confusing or broken. It is not used to identify you, and we do not use it to watch individuals.

Advertising. The Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags let us measure whether our advertising works, and may be used to show you our ads on other websites and on social media.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. If you do, parts of the site may not work as well. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on, and change ad personalisation in your Google and Meta account settings.

Location. If you use the “Use my location” feature to find your nearest restaurant, your browser asks your permission first. We use the coordinates once, to work out which restaurant is closest. We do not store them.

6. Job applications and résumés

We treat applications as confidential. Résumés are stored in a private folder that cannot be reached from the public website, and are available only to the people involved in hiring.

If you are not successful, we may keep your application for a reasonable period in case something suitable comes up, and then delete it. If you would rather we deleted it straight away, email info@enzoscucina.com.au and we will.

7. Overseas disclosure

Some of the providers listed in section 4 store information outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. By using this site you accept that your information may be handled overseas, where privacy laws may differ from Australian law. We take reasonable steps to use providers who protect your information properly.

8. How we keep it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. That includes access controls on our systems, encrypted connections, and keeping résumés outside the public part of the website.

No website can promise perfect security. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the law requires.

9. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it, or as long as the law requires. Booking and enquiry records are kept for our business records; job applications are handled as described in section 6; newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

10. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Email info@enzoscucina.com.au.

We will need to confirm who you are before we hand anything over. We will respond within a reasonable time, normally 30 days. If we cannot give you what you asked for, we will explain why.

11. Unsubscribing

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. You can also email us and ask to be removed. We will still contact you about a booking or enquiry you have made — that is not marketing.

12. Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. When you make a booking or a party enquiry we may ask how many children are in your group, but we do not ask for their names or details. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at info@enzoscucina.com.au and we will look into it.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
